Fall Girls Basketball League (Grades 5-8)
Special Interest
This is a basketball league for those girls interested in learning/playing basketball. All players that sign-up will be able to participate in the league. However, those 7th & 8th grade girls that make one of the middle school teams will not be allowed to participate in the league. This will allow an opportunity for all girls within these grades to play basketball. Furthermore, it cultivates our program and prepares 5th & 6th grade girls for middle school basketball. Volunteer Parent Coaches will be needed, however LO middle school coaches will be directly working with and assisting coaches throughout the league. Players will practice twice a week, with gamedays on Saturdays once they start. Games will be officiated by volunteer LOHS girls’ basketball players. Poor conduct by coaches regarding officiating will lead to dismissal from the opportunity to coach in this league. Players will need to purchase a reversible green and white jersey if they don't already have one. Practices will begin the week of September 8th. Practices will be each week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8pm at Oakview Middle School. Gamedays will be on Saturdays, with the first gameday being September 27th and the last one on October 18th.
